🍓 Jelly Donuts

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup cocoa (optional)
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 2 tbsp softened butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup jelly (any flavor)

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk and mix with yeast. Let stand 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add sugar, egg, butter, salt, and flour. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead until smooth; cover and let rise for 1 hour.
  4. Roll dough, cut into rounds, and rest 10–15 minutes.
  5. Fry until golden, drain, and fill with jelly using a piping bag.
  6. Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
