🍫 Chocolate Mousse Brownie

Brownie Layer:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Mousse Layer:

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate. Stir in sugar, then whisk in eggs and vanilla.
  3. Fold in flour and salt. Pour into pan and bake for 22–25 minutes. Cool completely.
  4. For the mousse: Melt chocolate and let cool slightly. Whip cream with sugar and vanilla to soft peaks. Fold in chocolate.
  5. Spread mousse on cooled brownies. Chill at least 2 hours before slicing.
