Savory Yule Log with Mimosa Eggs & Tuna

Step 1: Prepare the Filling

  1. In a medium bowl, mash the hard-boiled eggs using a fork or potato masher until finely crumbled.
  2. Add the drained tuna and continue mashing until evenly combined with the eggs.
  3. Stir in the mayonnaise and chopped chives. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 2: Flatten the Bread

  1. Place each slice of white bread on a clean work surface and roll out gently with a rolling pin to flatten and compress.

Step 3: Assemble the Logs

  1. Spread a generous spoonful of the egg and tuna mixture over each flattened slice of bread, covering it evenly.
  2. Roll each slice up tightly into a log. Wrap each log individually in plastic wrap.
  3. Refrigerate the logs for at least 2 hours to chill and firm up.
