Poppy Seed and Yogurt Rolls

1. Prepare the Dough:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add the yogurt and olive oil to the bowl. Mix with a spoon or your hands until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead gently until smooth and pliable, about 1–2 minutes.

2. Roll and Shape:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll the dough out to about 1.5 cm (½ inch) thick using a rolling pin.
  3. Cut circles using a cookie cutter or glass (about 5–6 cm wide). Gather and re-roll scraps as needed.

3. Glaze and Top:

  1. Arrange the rolls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing slightly apart.
  2. Brush the tops with the beaten egg yolk.
  3. Sprinkle generously with poppy seeds or sesame seeds.
