Light Puff Pastry Crown with Cheese

Unroll the puff pastry directly onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. If the pastry is very soft, place it in the fridge for 10 minutes before slicing to make it easier to handle.

Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to divide the dough lengthwise into wide strips (about 5–6 cm each). These will be folded and shaped into the crown.

  1. Place a few chunks of soft cheese in the center of each strip.
  2. Add a generous sprinkle of grated cheese.
  3. Top with chopped parsley and basil, then season with black pepper to taste.

  1. Carefully fold each strip over the filling, pinching or pressing lightly to seal.
  2. Arrange the filled strips into a circular wreath on the baking tray, sealing the ends where they meet to form a complete ring.
