Grandma’s Peach Cobbler Pie – Old-Fashioned Southern Comfort

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1. Preheat Oven

Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish or baking dish.

2. Make the Peach Filling

  1. In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches (or drained canned peaches) with granulated sugar, brown sugar, flour, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Gently mix until the peaches are evenly coated.
  3. Transfer the mixture to your greased pie dish, spreading it out evenly.

3. Prepare the Cobbler Topping

  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add the egg and mix until the mixture becomes crumbly. It should resemble coarse crumbs—not a smooth dough.

4. Assemble the Pie

  1. Sprinkle the crumbly topping evenly over the peach filling.
  2. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the topping. This will help it bake into a golden, crispy crust.

5. Bake

Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbling at the edges.

6. Cool & Serve
