- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out one portion of chilled dough to about ¼-inch thickness.
- Use a round cookie cutter to cut circles, then use a smaller round cutter to remove the centers, creating wreath shapes.
- Transfer cookies to the prepared baking sheets, spacing them slightly apart.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes, just until the edges are lightly golden. The centers should remain pale.
- Allow cookies to cool completely on the baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool fully before decorating.
Prepare the Green Icing & Decorate
Make the Green Buttercream
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy and smooth.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing on low speed at first, then increasing speed until smooth.
- Add the milk and vanilla extract and beat until light, fluffy, and spreadable.
- Add green gel food coloring a drop at a time, mixing well until you reach a vibrant wreath-green color.
