Festive Christmas Wreath Sugar Cookies

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out one portion of chilled dough to about ¼-inch thickness.
  3. Use a round cookie cutter to cut circles, then use a smaller round cutter to remove the centers, creating wreath shapes.
  4. Transfer cookies to the prepared baking sheets, spacing them slightly apart.
  5. Bake for 8–10 minutes, just until the edges are lightly golden. The centers should remain pale.
  6. Allow cookies to cool completely on the baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool fully before decorating.
