1ļøā£ Melt the Chocolate & Butter
- In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate and butter together using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second bursts. Stir until smooth and glossy. Let it cool slightly.
2ļøā£ Make the Cake Batter
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until light and creamy.
- Sift in the flour and cocoa powder, gently folding to combine.
- Pour in the melted chocolate mixture and fold until the batter is velvety and uniform.
3ļøā£ Bake the Cake
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Grease and line a round 20 cm (8-inch) cake tin.
- Pour the batter into the tin and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the cake cool completely in the pan.
