Cajun Honey Butter Salmon Recipe

Directions

  1. Prepare the Salmon: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Drizzle the salmon fillets with olive oil, then season with 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning, 1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika, 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon of onion powder, and salt and pepper to taste. Make sure the salmon is evenly coated with the seasoning.
  2. Make the Honey Butter Sauce: In a small saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat. Add 1/4 cup of honey and 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice. Stir the ingredients together until they are well combined, and let the mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly. Remove from heat once the sauce has come together.
  3. Glaze and Bake: Spoon the honey butter mixture generously over the seasoned salmon fillets, ensuring they are evenly coated. Place the salmon in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The exact cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  4. Serve: Remove the salmon from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve immediately while hot with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, rice, or a simple salad.
