Baileys Mocha Fudge Milkshake Recipe

Instructions

  1. Blend: Begin by placing 2 cups of creamy vanilla ice cream into a blender. Ensure the ice cream is slightly softened but not melted, as this will help it blend smoothly into the drink without becoming too runny. Add 1 oz of Baileys Irish Cream to the blender. The Baileys adds a rich, smooth flavor that complements both the chocolate and coffee in the milkshake. Next, pour in 1 oz of chocolate syrup, which will bring a deep, rich chocolate flavor to the mix. If you’re using coffee liqueur, add ½ oz to enhance the coffee notes, or substitute with ½ oz of freshly brewed espresso for a stronger coffee punch. Pour in ½ cup of milk to help the ingredients blend together into a creamy consistency.
  2. Blend Until Smooth: With all the ingredients added, secure the lid of the blender and begin blending on a low speed, gradually increasing to high speed. Blend for about 30 seconds or until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy, with no lumps or chunks of ice cream. The texture should be thick and velvety. If you prefer a thinner consistency, add a small splash more milk and blend again until you reach your desired texture.
  3. Serve: Once your milkshake is blended to perfection, pour it into a tall glass. The milkshake should be thick enough to hold its shape but still easy to sip through a straw. Consider using a glass with a wide opening to accommodate the whipped cream and garnishes that will follow.
  4. Top: Now, it’s time to elevate your milkshake with toppings. Add a generous swirl of whipped cream on top of your milkshake. This will add a light, airy texture that complements the dense richness of the drink. Next, sprinkle some chocolate shavings or drizzle a bit of fudge over the whipped cream for an extra layer of indulgence. The chocolate will melt slightly into the cream, creating a beautiful, glossy finish.
  5. Optional Garnish: For an additional crunch and an extra boost of chocolatey goodness, sprinkle some chocolate cookie crumbs over the top. This adds a delightful contrast in texture, providing a satisfying crunch that pairs perfectly with the creamy, smooth milkshake. If you prefer a more extravagant look, you can even rim the glass with chocolate syrup or finely crushed cookies before pouring in the milkshake.
