Baileys Irish Cream Brownies: A Decadent, Fudgy Dessert Masterpiece

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Baileys Irish Cream

Directions

Step 1: Prepare the Brownie Batter

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth and well combined.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the Baileys Irish Cream and vanilla extract, ensuring everything is fully mixed.

Step 2: Add the Dry Ingredients

  1. Sift together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can lead to dense brownies.
  2. If desired, fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips for an extra layer of chocolate goodness.

Step 3: Bake the Brownies

  1. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter). The brownies should be set but still slightly fudgy in the center.
  2. Let the brownies cool in the pan on a wire rack before slicing into squares. The cooling time allows them to set and makes them easier to cut.

Step 4: Make the Baileys Glaze (Optional)
