- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons Baileys Irish Cream
Directions
Step 1: Prepare the Brownie Batter
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth and well combined.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the Baileys Irish Cream and vanilla extract, ensuring everything is fully mixed.
Step 2: Add the Dry Ingredients
- Sift together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can lead to dense brownies.
- If desired, fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips for an extra layer of chocolate goodness.
Step 3: Bake the Brownies
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter). The brownies should be set but still slightly fudgy in the center.
- Let the brownies cool in the pan on a wire rack before slicing into squares. The cooling time allows them to set and makes them easier to cut.
Step 4: Make the Baileys Glaze (Optional)
