Natural Flea & Tick Remedy for Pets and Home

Fleas and ticks can be a frustrating, ongoing problem for pet owners. They don’t just stay on your dog or cat — they spread quickly into carpets, rugs, bedding, and furniture. This simple, natural flea and tick remedy uses common household ingredients and can be used as part of a broader cleaning routine to help manage pests safely and effectively.

This approach combines a gentle spray for pets with a time-tested method for treating your home environment. While it won’t replace veterinary care or prescribed treatments for severe infestations, it can be a helpful support for prevention and light infestations.

Natural Flea & Tick Spray for Pets

Ingredients

  • 8 oz apple cider vinegar
  • 4 oz warm water
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • Spray bottle

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the salt and baking soda together until evenly combined.
  2. Slowly add the dry mixture to the apple cider vinegar, allowing it to react gently.
  3. Once the bubbling settles, stir in the warm water.
  4. Pour the mixture carefully into a clean spray bottle.
  5. Lightly spray your pet’s coat, focusing on the back, legs, and underside.

Important: Avoid spraying near your pet’s eyes, nose, mouth, or open skin. This spray is meant for external use only.
