Brownie Layer:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
Mousse Layer:
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper.
- Melt butter and chocolate. Stir in sugar, then whisk in eggs and vanilla.
- Fold in flour and salt. Pour into pan and bake for 22–25 minutes. Cool completely.
- For the mousse: Melt chocolate and let cool slightly. Whip cream with sugar and vanilla to soft peaks. Fold in chocolate.
- Spread mousse on cooled brownies. Chill at least 2 hours before slicing.
