3-Ingredient Cake

Instructions:

  1. Beat the Eggs and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the 5 eggs and 180g of sugar together until fluffy. This should take about 6-7 minutes. The mixture should be light and airy, creating a thick, smooth texture.
  2. Incorporate the Flour: Gradually add the 180g of sifted all-purpose flour to the egg-sugar mixture. Be careful to fold in the flour gently, ensuring that the air from the beaten eggs is not lost. This is key to keeping the cake light and fluffy.
  3. Prepare the Baking Pan: Line a 20cm baking pan with parchment paper. Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan, smoothing it out evenly.
  4. Bake the Cake: Preheat your oven to 160°C (330°F). Bake the cake for about 50 minutes, or until it is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Cool the Cake: After baking, open the oven door slightly and let the cake cool for about 10 minutes inside the oven. This helps prevent the cake from collapsing due to sudden temperature changes.
