Phyllis (Michelle Stafford—who shared her Daytime Emmy tradition) was shocked that he wanted her help with his reputation. She wanted to know why he was getting so desperate.
Cane believed that she was the best person for the job. But she’s confused about his intentions. Cane wanted to take over Genoa City and then the world. Then, he abandoned those plans for his family.
Now, he wants to prove that he’s squeaky clean. Cane’s head is all over the place. It’s hard to understand what he wants. But Cane insisted that he needed Phyllis’s help.
Is Cane Getting Too Desperate?
Desperation is not a good look, not even for Cane Ashby. He’s not thinking clearly now that he’s realized that his life isn’t all that it’s cracked out to be.
He’s partnering up with the bad girl in town, which could blow up his reconciliation plans. During Monday’s show, the apparent chemistry between them smoldered.
Cane assured Phyllis that he needed her. But what does she get out of it? Phyllis told Cane that she wanted her hands on the A.I. software.
But Cane refused to give Phyllis what she wanted. So, she used her seductive charm on him. Phyllis got so close to Cane that he couldn’t think straight.
They were this close to kissing. Partnering up with Phyllis could be risky for Cane. She’s a loner just like him. However, she assured Cane that she would save him from being an outcast.
