The medicinal properties of plantain: what you need to know.

Ingredients :

  • 1 to 2 teaspoons of dried leaves (or 2 to 3 fresh leaves).

  • 1 cup of hot water (85-90°C).

  • Optional:  honey or lemon.

Preparation :

  1. Wash the leaves thoroughly if they are fresh.

  2. Heat the water without letting it boil.

  3. Add the plantain to the water and let it sit for  5 to 10 minutes .

  4. Strain and serve. Add honey or lemon to taste.

Consumption method:

  • Drink  1 to 3 cups per day .

  • Can be eaten hot or cold.
