Swicy Caramelized Feta with Orange & Chili

  1. Add the orange slices: Nestle the thinly sliced orange pieces around the feta in the pan, letting them warm and absorb the glaze. SautĂ© for 1–2 minutes until the oranges are lightly softened and glistening. They should remain intact but take on some of the caramelized edges and heat.
  2. Finish and serve: Remove the skillet from heat. Sprinkle the feta and oranges with a pinch of flaky sea salt for crunch and contrast. If desired, top with a few additional thyme leaves or a final drizzle of honey.

Serving & Pairing Ideas

Serve immediately, straight from the skillet or carefully transferred to a shallow serving dish. Accompany with warm crusty bread, crostini, or pita chips to scoop up the molten, spiced cheese and citrusy glaze.

This dish works beautifully as a standalone appetizer, part of a mezze spread, or paired with a winter salad of bitter greens and nuts. Its sweet-salty-spicy profile also pairs well with crisp white wine, sparkling rosé, or even a chilled vermouth spritz.

For a shortcut variation, the orange slices can be broiled separately and added at the end, but pan-warming them in the glaze maximizes the flavor fusion. Leftovers (if any!) can be stored in the fridge and gently reheated in a skillet or oven until warm.
