Instructions:
- Prepare the Dough:
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Add yogurt and melted butter (or olive oil) to the dry ingredients and mix until a smooth dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.
- Add Toppings:
- Knead the shredded cheese and diced vegetables into the dough, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
- If using fresh herbs, add them to the dough and mix until well combined.
- Roll Out the Dough:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a thin, rectangular shape, about 1/4 inch thick. Transfer the dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Add Egg Wash and Seeds:
- Brush the top of the dough with the beaten egg to give it a golden color when baked.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds or nigella seeds on top for added flavor and texture.
- Bake:
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the flatbread is golden and crispy.
- Cut and Serve:
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Cut the flatbread into squares or rectangles, as shown in the image.
