Pumpkin Bars with Pumpkin Spice Cream Cheese Drizzle

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan:
    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and pumpkin pie spice. Set aside.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients:
    In a large bowl, beat the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vegetable oil until well mixed. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the pumpkin puree and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Combine Wet and Dry:
    Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix to maintain a tender crumb.
  5. Bake:
    Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the bars cool completely in the pan before adding the drizzle.
