- Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.

- Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

- In a small saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Add heavy cream and cook 2–3 minutes until bubbly and thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and chopped pecans.
