Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil. Cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat and set aside.
- Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the onion, bell peppers, and mushrooms (if using). Sauté for 5–7 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Combine Meat and Veggies: Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Stir in the salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until everything is well combined.
- Add the Cream Mixture: Stir in the softened cream cheese and heavy cream until fully melted and creamy.
- Assemble the Casserole: Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Top evenly with provolone (or mozzarella) and cheddar cheese.
- Bake: Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly with lightly golden edges.
- Serve: Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm!
