No-Oven Banana Cake Recipe

  1. Mash & Mix: In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Add egg, sugar, and oil. Mix well until smooth.
  2. Add Dry + Wet: Stir in flour, cornflour, baking powder, baking soda. Then add milk and vanilla. Mix to a smooth, lump-free batter.
  3. Prepare Pan: Grease a 7-inch round pan and line it with parchment paper at the bottom.
  4. Preheat Pan: Place a deep pan or thick-bottomed pot on the stove and preheat over medium heat for 5 minutes with the lid on.
  5. Cook: Place the cake mould inside the preheated pan. Cover with lid and cook on medium heat for 30–40 minutes. Check with a toothpick at 30 minutes.
  6. Oven Option: Alternatively, bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30–40 minutes if using a traditional oven.
💡 Tip: Let the cake cool before slicing for clean edges. Add walnuts or chocolate chips to the batter for an extra treat!
