1. Preheat & Prepare
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Line a baking sheet or rectangular cake pan with parchment paper.
2. Slice the Apples
- Wash the apples and slice them thinly (peeling is optional based on preference). Set aside.
3. Make the Batter
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until pale and slightly fluffy.
- Mix in the melted butter and vanilla extract (if using).
- Gradually add the flour and baking powder, alternating with milk, mixing just until smooth. Avoid overmixing.
4. Assemble and Bake
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
- Arrange the apple slices neatly on top of the batter, slightly overlapping for full coverage.
- Bake for 25ā30 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
5. Cool and Serve
