Homemade braided brioche, soft and golden

This braided brioche is a classic homemade pastry. Soft, lightly sweetened, and delicately flavored with vanilla, it’s perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack. It’s easy to make and always a hit, even on special occasions.

The dough can also be used as a base for rolls or other pastries, making it a versatile and economical recipe.

Ingredients

  • 300 g of milk
  • 100 g de sucre
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
  • 80g of butter
  • 20 g of oil
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cube of fresh yeast
  • 550 g of flour
  • 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan or large container, mix the milk, sugar, vanilla sugar, butter, oil and eggs.
  2. Gently warm the mixture, without bringing it to a boil, until the butter is melted.
  3. Add the crumbled yeast and mix until completely dissolved.
  4. Gradually incorporate the flour and knead until you obtain a smooth dough. If necessary, add a little more flour until the dough no longer sticks to your hands.
