Glazed Teriyaki Salmon – Sweet, Savory & So Satisfying

👩‍🍳 Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Salmon

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
  2. Season lightly on both sides with salt and pepper. Set aside.

Step 2: Make the Teriyaki Glaze

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey/maple syrup, rice vinegar, ginger, and garlic.
  2. If you prefer a thicker glaze, whisk the cornstarch and water separately, then stir into the sauce mixture.

Step 3: Sear the Salmon

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Place salmon fillets in the pan, presentation-side down (skinless side or the more curved side).
  3. Cook for 3–4 minutes until golden and crisped. Flip gently.

Step 4: Glaze the Salmon

  1. Pour the prepared teriyaki glaze into the skillet.
  2. Let it bubble and reduce for 2–3 minutes, spooning the sauce over the salmon as it thickens.
  3. Continue cooking another 4–6 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.
