🧾 Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 1 cup milk

  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated lemon zest

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup white granulated sugar

  • 1 package active dry yeast

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 2/3 cup milk (more for dough)

  • 3 egg yolks

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature, cut into 8 tablespoons

For Topping:

  • 1/4 cup pearl sugar
