Once your taffy has cooled completely, it’s ready to enjoy! Store the taffy pieces in an airtight container to keep them soft and chewy. If wrapped individually in wax paper, the taffy can be stored at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

- If you prefer a firmer texture, cook the mixture to 270°F (132°C) for a chewier consistency.
- For added variety, experiment with different extracts like mint or strawberry, or even try adding a touch of citrus zest for a unique twist on traditional taffy.
- Ensure your candy thermometer is calibrated and accurate for the best results. If you don’t have a thermometer, you can test the taffy by dropping a small amount into a cup of cold water—if it forms a hard ball, it’s ready.
