- Prepare the Dough:
Lightly flour your hands to prevent sticking. Flatten each thawed (but still cold) dinner roll into a 3-inch disc. Place the discs onto two parchment-lined baking sheets, leaving enough space between each one to allow for rising and baking. - Butter and Sugar:
Brush the surface of each roll with the warm melted butter, then sprinkle lightly with granulated sugar for a touch of sweetness and golden finish. - Let Rise:
Cover the rolls with a clean lint-free dish towel or lightly sprayed plastic wrap. Place in a warm location and let rise until doubled in size. This can take approximately 50 minutes depending on the warmth of your kitchen. For quicker rising, place the trays in the oven with just the oven light on (do not turn on the heat). - Prepare the Filling:
While the rolls rise, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
