Double Chocolate & Vanilla Heart Rolled Yule Log

  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 200 g heavy cream
  • 20 g butter (for shine)

  • 30 g dark chocolate shavings
  • 30 g white chocolate shavings

👩‍🍳 Preparation Steps

1️⃣ 🔥 Prepare the Sponge Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a 30×40 cm baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk eggs and sugar for 5–7 minutes until pale, thick, and airy.
  3. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently fold in with a spatula, being careful not to deflate the batter.
  4. Drizzle in melted butter and fold until just combined.
  5. Spread the batter evenly over the tray. Bake for 10–12 minutes — it should remain soft but spring back when touched.
