Dill Pickle Cheese Ball – Creamy, Tangy, and Perfect for Parties

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Make the cheese mixture: In a large bowl, use a hand mixer to blend the softened cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth and fluffy (about 1–2 minutes).
  2. Add the mix-ins: Stir in the shredded cheddar, chopped dill pickles, and fresh dill until evenly combined.
  3. Shape into a ball: Lay two long strips of plastic wrap in an ‘X’ shape on a flat surface. Spoon the cheese mixture into the center, gather up the plastic, and form into a ball. Twist the wrap at the top to seal tightly.
  4. Chill: Refrigerate the cheese ball for at least 2 hours, or until firm and easy to handle.
  5. Coat: On a plate or flat surface, mix together the coating ingredients—shredded cheddar, chopped dill, and lemon zest. Unwrap the chilled cheese ball and gently roll it in the coating, pressing to adhere.
  6. Serve: Place the cheese ball on a serving platter and serve with crackers, sliced cucumbers, pretzels, or pita chips.
