Crispy Homemade Lumpia (Filipino Spring Rolls)

  1. Cook the filling:
In a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat, cook the ground pork until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon as it cooks. This should take about 5–7 minutes.
  2. Add aromatics:
Stir in the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook for 2–3 more minutes, or until the onions are translucent and fragrant.
  3. Add vegetables:
Mix in the grated carrot, chopped green beans, and cabbage. Continue cooking for another 3–4 minutes, until the vegetables are soft but still colorful and fresh-tasting.
  4. Season:
Add soy sauce, fish sauce, and black pepper. Stir well to combine and cook for one more minute to allow the flavors to meld. Remove the skillet from heat and let the mixture cool slightly before assembling.
