Step 1: Cook the Pasta
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving Œ cup of pasta water if needed.
Step 2: Sauté the Shrimp
- While the pasta cooks, season the shrimp with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tbsp of the butter. Add shrimp and cook for 1â2 minutes per side, or until opaque and pink. Remove and set aside.
Step 3: Make the Cajun Cream Sauce
- In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp butter and sauté the minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and allow to melt into the sauce. Add more Cajun seasoning if desired for extra kick.
- If the sauce is too thick, stir in a splash of reserved pasta water.
Step 4: Combine & Serve
