Creamy Buckeye Dip with Chocolate Topping

  1. Make the Peanut Butter Base: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and creamy peanut butter together until completely smooth and fluffy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed to ensure an even texture.
  2. Sweeten the Mixture: Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing on low speed at first, then increasing slightly until fully incorporated. The mixture should be thick, creamy, and free of lumps.
  3. Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream (or milk). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each interval, until the chocolate is fully melted, smooth, and glossy.
  4. Assemble the Dip: Spread the peanut butter mixture evenly into a serving bowl, smoothing the top with a spatula. Carefully pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer and spread it gently into an even coating.
