Classic Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

Bake

Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The edges should pull slightly away from the pan, and the top should spring back when lightly touched.

Invert and cool

Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Place a flat serving plate or tray over the pan, then carefully invert the cake. Lift the pan gently and allow the cake to release. Let it rest for another 10 minutes before slicing to allow the caramel topping to settle.

Serving & Storage Notes

Serve this pineapple upside-down cake warm or at room temperature. The caramelized topping is especially luscious while still slightly warm. Store leftovers covered at room temperature for up to a day or refrigerate for longer storage. Bring to room temperature before serving for the best texture.

Moist, buttery, and crowned with golden pineapple, this classic upside-down cake delivers timeless flavor and irresistible charm in every slice.
