Chopped Shrimp Fried Rice

Extra Fluffy White Rice Recipe

This method creates exceptionally fluffy, flavorful rice that works perfectly for fried rice.

  1. Bring 1 cup water to a boil with 1 tablespoon salted butter and ½ tablespoon chicken-flavored Better Than Bouillon. Stir well until fully dissolved.
  2. Add ¾ cup white rice directly from the package (do not rinse).
  3. Stir once, cover, and lower heat to low. Let steam for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat, place a clean paper towel over the pot, then replace the lid. Let rest for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove lid and paper towel, fluff gently with a fork, and season to taste.
