A prisoner’s last wish was to see his dog again — but when the German Shepherd broke free and ran into his arms, something strange happened.

A life behind bars

For twelve long years, he had woken up every morning in the cold of cell B-17.
At first, he had tried to fight back—writing letters, seeking lawyers, begging for belief in his innocence. But no one had listened to him. Little by little, he had stopped resisting. He had accepted the silence, the walls, and the fate that awaited him.

The only force keeping him alive came from his dog—a German Shepherd he’d once found, a trembling puppy at the end of an alley. She had become his family, his companion, the only soul he trusted. He had no one else in the world but her.

The unusual demand

When the prison warden came with the document to record his last wish, the guards expected the usual answers—a meal, a cigarette, perhaps a prayer.
But the man replied softly:

— “I want to see my dog. One last time.”

At first, the staff thought it was a trick. But the request was granted. On the appointed day, before his sentence was to be carried out, he was led into the prison courtyard.
