Ingredients
- 4 large apples, sliced
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips, melted
- 1/4 cup chopped peanuts (or your favorite nuts)
- 1/4 cup mini marshmallows
- 1/4 cup sprinkles (optional)
- 1/4 cup crushed graham crackers (optional)
- 1/4 tsp sea salt (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
I’m convinced these Sheet Pan Caramel Apples are why my family loves fall—they request them every year, and they disappear almost as soon as the pan hits the table.
Prepare the Apples
- Wash the apples thoroughly under cool running water to remove any waxy coating or residue, then dry them well with a clean towel. Peel them if you prefer a softer bite, or leave the skins on for extra color and texture. Slice the apples into thin wedges, aiming for fairly even slices so they all hold up the same way under the caramel and chocolate.
- Line a sheet pan with parchment paper, making sure it lies flat and reaches into the corners. This prevents the caramel and chocolate from sticking and makes cleanup much easier once everything has set. Arrange the apple slices in a single layer on the parchment, with the pieces close together but not overlapping too much. A snug but single layer helps every slice get its share of toppings.
