Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Beat butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
3. Mix in the egg until smooth.
4. Add the flour and baking soda; mix until combined.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
6. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls onto a baking tray.
7. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden but centers are soft.
8. Let them cool on the tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
