3-Minute Fudge – Don’t Lose This Recipe!

  1. Melt Ingredients: Begin by combining the 1 cup of chocolate chips, the 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk, and the 1/4 cup of butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave the mixture on high for 30 seconds, then take it out and stir to help the ingredients start to combine. Return the bowl to the microwave and heat in 15-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until the mixture is completely smooth and fully melted. This process helps to ensure the chocolate doesn’t burn, and the butter blends into the mixture for a creamy texture.
  2. Add Flavor: Once the fudge mixture is melted and smooth, stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. The vanilla adds a rich depth of flavor, while the salt helps to balance the sweetness and bring out the chocolate’s richness. Stir everything until it’s well combined and the fudge mixture is velvety.
  3. Pour and Set: Line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, which will make it easier to lift the fudge out once it’s set. Pour the melted fudge mixture into the dish, spreading it out evenly with a spatula. If you’d like, now’s the time to sprinkle any optional toppings on top, such as chopped nuts, sprinkles, or mini marshmallows. These toppings will add texture and extra flavor to the fudge, but you can skip this step for a simple, classic fudge.
  4. Chill: Refrigerate the fudge for about 1 hour or until it has fully set. You’ll know it’s ready when the fudge is firm to the touch and doesn’t stick to your finger. This chilling step allows the fudge to solidify into perfect, bite-sized squares.
  5. Enjoy: Once the fudge is set, use the parchment paper to lift it out of the dish. Cut the fudge into small squares, and enjoy! The creamy, chocolatey flavor will melt in your mouth, and the texture will be smooth and satisfying. Any leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week (if it lasts that long!).
